This year we are partnering up with Mix 102.3 and Guide Dogs SA/NT to include your dog/s in the 3km walk.
At last! Another first this year for City-Bay Fun Run - The Mix 102.3 3km Dog Walk. You AND your dog can be part of this great day - enjoy the post race entertainment, join family and friends amongst the City-Bay Fun Run Village. The 3km is not timed.
Before you register your dog, please read the terms below:
- Keep your dog on a lead at all times
- Only bring your dog if he/she is well socialised with other dogs/people
- Please ensure your dog is healthy and able to walk 3km (if you are unsure, please ask your vet)
- If your dog has an existing health condition please consult with your vet before signing them up
The Mix 102.3 3km Dog Walk start, is at The Junction at Camden Park starting at approximately 10:10am once all of the regular runners and walkers have crossed the start line. Located at 470 Anzac Highway Camden Park, The Junction is on the left hand side as you head towards Glenelg, and is just before the Morphett Road intersection.
There will be compostable dog poo bags available at the start line, please grab some of these and make sure you drop the used bags into the organic waste bins, provided by Green Clean, along the route and at the Dog Village.
There will also be doggie water stops along the route to make sure your dog/s keep well hydrated.
As you head towards Glenelg, you will be directed by police and race marshals to head to Jetty Rd, either via Brighton Road or Gordon Street. When travelling along Jetty Road please be aware of the tram lines and take care turning the corner from Jetty Road onto Colley Terrace.
The 3km dog walk will not finish at the regular finish line on Colley Terrace. Instead of turning down to Colley Terrace, you will go straight down Jetty Road on to Mosley Square. There will be a special Mix 102.3 finish arch for you and your fur babies.
There will be a special 'Mix 102.3 Dog Village' on the Brian Nadilo Reserve in Glenelg. There will be plenty of dog related stalls and entertainment at the village.
Toilets will be available at the Morphettville race course car park and at the finish on Colley Reserve and Wigley.
