Westpac is proud to be this year's presenting partner and part of the City-Bay team again for 2016.
Westpac is once again the proud presenting partner of the Sunday Mail City-Bay Fun Run in 2016. Packed with entertainment and music from start to finish and a course which celebrates the best of Adelaide.
How you run #YourRace is up to you. Whether you’re out to beat your personal best, to raise money for your favourite charity or just have a great day with family and friends, Westpac will be with you every step of the way.
Snap and Share each stage of #YourRace experience from training, through to race day and post-race celebrations using #YourRace #Westpac #City-Bay or visit us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @westpac.
For the first time we’re introducing the Westpac Start Village, located in Torrens Parade Ground and open to Westpac customers. This will include stretching stations, strapping services, food and drink, the perfect place to meet or get prepped and race ready.
We will also have the on course Westpac Support Stations to keep you motivated and entertained during #YourRace. For the ultimate refreshment, go through the Westpac Misting Tunnel and make sure you give a high five at the Westpac Helicopter High 5 Dash with every high five given Westpac will donate to the SLS SA Westpac Lifesaving Rescue Helicopter service.
Westpac’s VIP Red Zone will again be at the finish line to refuel, re-hydrate and entertain. There will be food, drinks and massage stations, so come relax and unwind after the race. When you pick up your race bib at expo, come and visit our stand, show us your Westpac bank card and we’ll give you your wrist band which will give you access to both the Start Village and Red Zone.
Show your support for the SLS SA Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service
Operated by Surf Life Saving South Australia (SLS SA), the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service was launched in September 2005.
The Service has one helicopter - an AS350 Squirrel called 'Westpac 1' - which is dedicated to patrolling Adelaide's coastline from North Haven to Goolwa Murray Mouth from dawn to dusk during October to March each year. The helicopter is manned by three contracted pilots and 16 volunteer crewmen.
The key roles performed by the South Australian Service include search and rescue, shark patrol and beach patrol. The Service also works alongside other emergency services including South Australian Police, Sea Rescue, the Coast Guard and Fisheries.
You can support the outstanding efforts of the Service by purchasing red and yellow shoe laces, at Expo before race day. Wear these laces with pride when you run to show your support for the SLS SA Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service. Your support means they can fly more missions, and be there when it counts.
